On April 23, 2026, Lee attended a forum for candidates in Prince George’s County in the 2026 elections. The event was sponsored by a variety of non-partisan community groups to give local candidates a chance to present their positions to local voters in attendance.
Since Lee’s district includes a good portion of northern Prince George’s County, including most of Laurel, MD, he attended to make a presentation along with a number of other State Senate candidates seeking to represent other districts in the county. Lee noticed especially that all the candidates spoke a lot about the importance of “education”. However, Lee emphasized the point that more money to a failing system is not the answer. Instead, he argued for a total transformation of the whole system, to make education a matter for parents and educators to decide for themselves in the free market economy. He also noted a number of specific ways the cost of government could be greatly reduced, while at the same time improving its quality of overall positive results in the field.
In the picture, Lee is shown making his presentation. Seated next to Lee, is Raaheela Ahmed, State Senate candidate for LD 23, and former member of the Prince George’s County Board of Education.
