College Park Parade – July 4, 2022

Lee meets local voters at College Park parade, July 4, 2022

Celebrating the Fourth of July holidays, I met with voters at my local hometown parade in College Park on July 4, 2022. On my walk along the parade route on Rhode Island Ave, I was accompanied by fellow College Park resident, Linda Ferrete, who is also president of the Northern Prince George’s County Republican Club.

This parade was especially festive and friendly because it was the first time in several years that such a gathering has taken place, due to the inconvenience of the covid-19 pandemic lock-down conditions. I especially enjoyed seeing all the smiling, friendly faces of children who were in the crowd, without the masks that have become so common in recent years.

The event was well-attended and much enjoyed by all due to warm weather and clear skies, as well as the cheerful fellowship among parade participants and the on-looking crowd. There was much appreciation and celebration of the precious heritage of freedom that our founding fathers initiated for us at the signing of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776.
